On May 12, 2016 Battalion Two along with the Westville Fire Department and the Woolwich Fire Co were dispatched the New Jersey Turnpike at the 16.7 southbound mile marker for a motor vehicle crash with fire. Crews arrived to find a single vehicle crash off the roadway into the woods and involved in fire. The driver of the vehicle was removed from the vehicle by passing motorists. Engine 922 and Rescue 738 arrived and were detailed to the fire suppression and BLS 739 and ALS Life Support attended to the driver. Once the fire was extinguished and the driver transported to the hospital, the New Jersey State Police released the fire department services from the scene.
