On Thursday November 15, 2018, Squad 921 was dispatched to the New Jersey Turnpike at the 19.0 southbound mile marker for a motor vehicle crash. The weather at the time was heavy snow mixed with sleet. The reports were a vehicle off the roadway into the woods and another resting against the concrete median. During the response, County Communications was dispatching resources to a motor vehicle crash at the 9.6 southbound mile marker on the NJTP. Squad 921 arrived at the 19.0 mile marker finding no crash. Squad 921 continued southbound as the communication center was attempting to confirm the mile marker for the initial crash. As Squad 921 was approaching Exit 2, the communication center confirmed the location as 9.6 southbound. Squad 921 continued to this location and on arrival, with a Gloucester County EMS unit, confirmed the two vehicle crash. Squad 921 provided a safe zone by acting as a blocker for the scene. Crews remained on location until the arrival of the New Jersey State Police.
