On April 21, 2020, a line of strong storms rolled through the area bringing winds in excess of 60 miles an hour and heavy rain. This caused several trees to come crashing down in the Battalion Two local. The first call was on Peach Street near Marion Avenue for a large tree that had fallen across the roadway. The second call came in on Shady Lane where a large tree had fallen into a house. The residents were not injured but were trapped inside their house. Tower 926 arrived on Shady Lane and went into service with chain saws and made access to the side door of the house to permit the residents to get out of the house. The crew continued removing parts of the tree to evaluate the damage to the house. Crews found that the tree had put four large holes through the roof. Crews removed what parts of the tree were through the roof. And placed coverings over the holes to prevent further damage. While the Tower 926 crew was completing this task, Crews from Engine 922 were handling calls on Clinton Avenue for Several Trees that fell there.
