On Saturday October 1,2016, members of the Tacoma Boulevard Station of the Deptford Fire Department traveled to the Pennington Fire Company’s 125 Anniversary parade in Mercer County. The crew took Engine 923, Brush Truck 925 and Command 920. This parade is an annual Fire Prevention parade hosted by a different Mercer County New Jersey Fire Companies. This year’s parade was hosted by the Pennington Fire Company celebrating their 125 years of service to the community. The judging of the fire apparatus and parade marchers was completed by the New Jersey State Fire Chief’s Parade Judging Association. After the parade, the festivities were held in the a Mercer County Park. The following awards were presented to the crew:
Best Appearing Engine 6 to 15 years 1st Place: Engine 923
Best Appearing Brush Truck 2nd Place: Brush 925
Best Appearing Command Vehicle 2nd Place: Command 920
Farthest Distance Traveled 2nd Place: Deptford Fire Department
Best Appearing Department Apparatus Overall: Deptford Fire Department
