On May 4, 2019 at 2130 hours, Battalion 91 was dispatched to “across from” 340 Ogden Road for a Dwelling fire. Captain 9102 ( Barbato-Buckley) arrived to find a 2 story wood frame dwelling with heavy fire on the second floor on the A/D corner. He requested the all hands box be completed with brought additional resources. Battalion 9201 (Thomas) arrived and Captain Barbato transferred command. A report was given to the communication and Engine 1312(Wenonah) and Engine 911(Oak Valley) arrived on location. Enigne 911 grabbed a hydrant on the way in and dropped 800′ of 5″ supply line. The crews started to their interior attack as the fire crew larger and was now through the roof. The A division was kept open and all arriving apparatus was ordered to stage and leave room for Tower 926 to get to the A Division. As Tower 926 arrived, Captain Barbato was reporting the stairs to the second floor were compromised with holes that the second floor was also an issue. Battalion 9201 advised all members to exit the dwelling and Tower 926 was placed into service to darken down the fire. Battalion 9101 (Hooper) arrived and he took charge of the operations. The dwelling was under renovation and there were no occupants. Once the fire was placed under control, resources started to be released and the scene was held with Battalion 91 and Tower 926. The Fire is under investigation by the Deptford Fire Marshal’s Office, the Gloucester County Fire Marshal’s Office, Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Deptford Police Department.
