On Monday April 2, 2018 at 1955 hours, Battalions Four and Two were dispatched to 661 Iszard Road in the Lake Tract section of Deptford for a dwelling fire. Battalion 9401 (Spade) arrived to find a one story wood frame single family dwelling with heavy fire on the “C” side. Squad 921 arrived first due and were ordered to lead off with a 2 1/2 hand line to the “C” division for suppression. The remainder of the crew stretched a 1 3/4 hand line to front door and once the division “C” crew had the fire knocked down, made entry to start the suppression effort. Engine 943 arrived and laid 5″ line to supply 921. As additional crews arrived they were given fire suppression, ventilation, lighting, and other fire ground tasks. The fire was placed under control at the 30 minute mark and is under investigation by the Deptford Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office. Crews clear the scene at 23oo hours.
