On June 21, 2023, Battalions Two and Three were dispatched to the 700 building of Steeplechase Court for a dwelling fire. Engine 922 (duty piece) arrived and found a 2 story garden style apartment complex middle of the row with light smoke showing. The crew from Engine 922 investigated and found an active fire within and outside the clothes dryer that was spreading. The crew quickly knock the fire down and completed the extinguishment and ensured that there was no extension of fire.. Ladder Tower 926 arrived and started the ventilation of the dwelling. The remainder of the arriving fire apparatus were given orders to level one stage until released by command. A Deptford Fire Department Fire Investigator was summoned to the scene for an investigation.
