On Saturday Morning May 27th. Battalion Two was dispatched to the rear of the 900 building of Chestnut Lane Apartment at 1060 Delsea Drive for a Brush Fire. Engine 923 arrived to find a large brush fire between Chestnut Lane Apartments and the West Grove Industrial Park located at 1030 Delsea Drive. The crew from 923 started the suppression of the fire as Engine 922 was detailed into the industrial park to access the fire from there. Engine 911 (duty piece) arrived and its crew assisted 923’s crew. The residents of the 900 building advised that they heard a loud bang followed by a brief power outage and then they observed the fire. Command summoned PSEG to the scene as the fire was underneath the main power lines leading to the Industrial Park. The Fire Department was at this location on May 9th for a brush fire in the same area that was caused by a down power line.
