On Wednesday January 4, 2017 at the public Meeting of the Deptford Board of Fire Commissioner, a swearing in ceremony was held for the swearing in of 3 additional career firefighters to the Deptford Fire Department. This swearing in included Deptford Fire Department’s First Career Female Firefighter, Stephanie Covely. Firefighter Joseph Tull and Matthew Brickner were also sworn in. Firefighter Brian Cooke was sworn in in August. This hiring brings the staffing to 18 for the career staff.
