Battalion 2 was dispatched to the 1600 block of Edgewood Avenue at 0158 hours for a rubbish fire. Reports were a fence was on fire. Squad 921 arrived and found that plastic trash cans along with a section of a vinyl privacy fence was on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and a Deptford Fire Department fire investigator was summoned. It was learned that the homeowner was using fireworks and disposed of them into a plastic trash can. This plastic trash can along with two others became involved in fire with extended to the vinyl fence.
