On October 10th at 2304 hours, Stations 93 and 94 along with other mutual aid partners were dispatched to Route 55 at the 57.0 mile marker for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment and fire. Squad 921 (duty piece responded). Battalion Chief 9201 (Wilson) arrived and advised that the MVC was a single vehicle roll over in the center median and on fire. Other motorist had removed the driver and there was no entrapment. Squad 921 was ordered to enter the highway and use the Squad as a blocker and assist with the fire suppression of the burning vehicle. Rescue 938 and Ladder 946 arrived and were detailed to search the wooded median to ensure no one was ejected from the vehicle. The motor vehicle crash is under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
