As the weather starts to get cold and the lakes start to freeze over, the members of the Tacoma Fire Company held their annual training exercise on the Cold Weather Ice Rescue Equipment. The crews held their briefing on the safety and duties of the shore tender rescuers and the actual members entering the ice and water. The crews went over the nomenclature of all the equipment and its use. All of the equipment was inspected and then the crews went over the donning and doffing of the cold weather suits. Once completed all the equipment was packed and stowed on the apparatus that would be responding to the cold water emergencies.
