On March 15, 2021, the Tacoma Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Peterson Boulevard and MacMaster Avenue for a brush fire. Engine 923 arrived to find there was a large brush fire within 3 yards and approaching sheds in two of the yards. The fire was quickly extinguished with minimal damage to the three properties. This fire was caused by an unattended back yard fire pit in a very windy weather condition. Residents are reminded that Common Sense is needed when using a back yard fire pit.
