On November 20, 2016 at 1457 hours the box was struck for an All Hands Dwelling Fire at 430 Dickinson Road in the Oak Valley section of Deptford Township. 9401 (Tull) arrived on location reporting a 1.5 story single family wood frame dwelling with heavy fire showing on the Bravo side of the house with extension to a vehicle on the B exposure. Engine 912 arrived and immediately went into service. The fire had extended into the house. Crews on location were hampered by 35+ mile per hour winds and solar panels on the roof on the “A” side. Ladder 926 arrived and were detailed to the “C” division and ordered to “open up” Crews from Engine 912 and 911 were reporting heavy fire and smoke condition on the 2nd Floor. As additional resources arrived, they were detailed to various duties on the fire ground. The crew in intensity and an evacuation was ordered and crews went into service with master streams. Once the fire was knocked down, crews were assembled and went inside and put out all remaining host spots. The fire is under investigation by the Deptford Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office.
